1. Air cleaning bricks or breathing bricks

The Breathe Bricks are designed to form a part of a building’s regular ventilation system.

At the center of the Brick it functions as a cyclonic filtration, an idea is borrowed from the modern vacuum cleaners, which separates out the heavy pollutant particles from the air and drops them into a removable hopper at the base of the wall.

Breathe bricks contain two components namely, concrete bricks and recycled plastic coupler.

Mechanism: The air from outside enters into hollow concrete bricks through the faceted surface and filtered inside the hollow space and allowed to go inside through vents provided.

2.Self healing concrete

Self-healing concrete is a product that will biologically produce limestone which heals up the cracks in the concrete structure.

3.Strand rods

These carbon fiber strands are made up of a thermoplastic carbon fiber composite known as CABKOMA Strand Rod.

The product is considered the lightest seismic reinforcement in the world.

The carbon fiber material creates a light and very strong rope-like rod it is said to be ten times stronger than iron.

4.Trash or Plastic

There is 90% of plastic isn’t recycled every year and we can efficiently use as a construction material in various applications,

By using plastic waste as a modifier, the quantity of cement and sand will significantly be reduced, and hence the total cost of the construction decreases.

Plastic roads mainly use plastic carry bags, disposable cups, and pet bottles that are collected from the garbage dumps as an important ingredient for the construction.

5.Newspaper wood

This innovative recycling process involves compressing newspapers and combining with solvent-free glue to create log-like pieces so that you can cut and mill for various construction applications.

This can widely used as aesthetic purpose and also can be used for components of windows, doors, tables etc…

8.Transparent aluminum

Transparent Aluminum is a new state of matter, and from a recent study from oxford university scientists, This material was created by bombarding the Aluminum metal with the world’s most powerful soft X-ray laser.

Uses of transparent aluminum are that it can be used in various defense applications like Recce sensor windows, transparent armor, and for semi-conductor related applications.

The aluminium is nearly invisible to extreme ultraviolet radiation

9. Transparent wood

 In the production process of transparent wood, the lignin present in the actual wood is replaced by polymers while boiling for several hours.

Properties of wood are Low density compared to glass, High optical transmittance, Low thermal conductivity, Outstanding toughness

10. Illuminating concrete

Using the same raw materials with which cement is manufactured and by adding certain additives, scientists modified the optical properties of the material, and it became phosphorescent, Phosphorescent materials absorb energy from radiation such as the ultraviolet light emitted by the sun or by the lamps then energy later emit as a light, which can be seen after dark.

The main use of illuminating concrete is that it can be used as a natural lighting source in the dark which replaces conventional streetlights, driveways, etc…
